I'm good with the thumb safety I have 2 M&Ps - one with and one without. I like that the thumb safety (I ride the top) keeps me from dumping the slide release by mistake.

Just started the DROS paperwork yesterday and I noticed the s/n alpha characters were in lower case. The s/n string is "bam00xx". Based on the fired case, she was born July 2003. Does this lower case stuff have any significance? My S&W reference data is silent on this.
