    M&P trigger

If you want to cure the horrible trigger syndrome that plagues the shield, replace with an Apex trigger. What an amazing transformation.

Cannot lock the slide on new M&P Shield

Try pulling the slide rearward while pushing the frame/grip forward at the same time. This seems to work for folks who don't have lots of wrist strength. Racking a Slide Like a Lady - YouTube

    Clearing the chamber

One thing that repeatedly came up in every armorer's course I've attended is not to clear the chamber with your hand over the ejection port. There have obviously been numerous folks that have suffered gunshot wounds to their hands from doing so. Although I have never witnessed this myself...

    M&P .45 vs 1911 .45

Both guns will be far more accurate than you'll ever be. The M&P is a much more modern handgun and the 1911 is a classic. If you're looking for round count and something that's a bit lighter to carry, I would go for the M&P, HK45, FNX45, XD or a Glock 21.

    M&P Shield

Unless my math is incorrect, it appears you bought a new carry gun every 2 months? My neighbor trades cars 2 or 3 times a month. She earned her fortune the old fashioned way by inheriting it. It's always intriguing to see what she will pull in with. They say she's legend with the regional...

    M&P Shield

I wasn't really looking for a Shield but of course heard all the buzz in the gun community about the gun that was unobtainable. Our range has a really nice pro-shop and as I was leaving I always make a trip through to see what they have that I really don't need. I have purchased several used...

Which M&P is Similar to Glock 19?

The first Glock I purchased was a well worn ex LE gen2 19. Still have it and will never part with it. It's my rat-rod gun. Looks well worn but has never missed a beat. Did yours have the Austrian proof stamp on the slide?

Talk to me about Frog Lube!

I purchased a used Keltec Sub2K several months ago that was a bit rougher than I realized. I had read several testimonials regarding Froglube but had never seen it in a store. I was in a local pawn shop looking at guns and noticed they stocked it. It had dust all over it but decided to go...

Which M&P is Similar to Glock 19?

Glock 19 is a tough gun to beat. I've got 2. Every gun owner should have a 19 in their collection.

    My first M&P - Shield 9mm

I sent my slide to Home and had Trijicon sights installed. They took a set of M&P sights and cut them down for the shield.

    model 59 date look up

First handgun I purchased was a Model 59 in 1973. I've had it all these years and rarely shoot it now, but it's always been rock solid. I've never had an issue with mine.

    Shield vs Storm

I had an early Nano that wouldn't shoot a magazine of ammo at a time. I had several different people shoot it with the same result. I also tried various types of ammo with the same result. I returned it to the store, the salesman took it home and shot it and they gave me an in-store credit...

    My dilemma

I have a FNP-9, 40 and 45. Great shooting guns. I recently purchased a Glock 30S which I like a lot. It fits in my Glock 19-23 holsters and is very accurate. You can't go wrong with a 30S, Good luck finding one.
