Last pistol was a 19-2 snub nose model 19. Have a 19-3 snubby but wanted an earlier one. Last non-gun was the Model 207 gas/flare pistol, 37mm by the S&W Chemical Company. This fills out my collection of the 37mm tear gas rifle and the 12 gauge line thrower also by S&W.
Added the Line Thrower version, model 270 w/ pistol grips (in the original box) to my collection. Uses 12 ga blanks to fire the line to drowning person. Managed to find a few boxes of the blanks for it in an auction. Just need the pistol version which is very hard to find :)
I have all 3 modifications of the baby I frame. 1) 4 digit SN moon front sight, 2) 5 digit SN smooth ramp front sight, then 3) the serrated ramp front sight. All 5 screw pre-model 36 with the early flat latch. Sold another 4 digit SN moon sight as someone decided to nickel plate an originally...
I found a Pre-16 w/ SN K6894x in an auction and won it for 1300 (no box, etc). In pretty good shape for 1950 born date gun. Only problem was somebody decided to nickel plate it but at least left the trigger, hammer, and both sights case hardened.
When i was looking for a 19 w/ a 6" bbl to complete my "set". There was one that popped on GB that an elderly gent had w/ a BIN of $450. Don't remember now what dash it was. He had just listed it and I missed out by a few seconds. What a deal but was sad as he had no one to pass it on to coz...
I did and had to go thru the motions of stopping them not tracking everything I do. What's really ticking me off is you cannot stop auto play of videos on this one. You have to go on each web page you visit and turn it off but that really doesn't work that well.
