    Model 640 vrs Model 38 - which is best?

    +1 I drove six hours this weekend to get a Model 640 for my wife. This class of Jframe is my alltime favorite. In the past, owned a Model 649 and just find it a perfect blend of managable range gun, carry option... and stupidly sold it. Another 640/649 is in my future.

    I like shrouded hammers for CCW. I would choose the SP 101, the 649, or the 640. I carried the Model 649 for quite awhile and it was hands down my favorite.
