I just picked up my new 3" 686+ and now I'm looking for an equally nice OWB leather holster. What do you recommend? Let's see some pics if you have some!
Did S&W ever make a 6 shot 586 L Comp? I was at Scheels today, and that's what I saw in the new gun case. I picked it up, and sure enough, only 6 chambers in the cylinder.
For carrying and self-defense, I like revolvers because of the added safety benefit of a long, hard double action trigger pull. Many people like striker fired guns, but to me, the trigger is just too light, and accidents do happen.
Plus, a revolver has soul :)
Great job! The world definitely needs more dads who take the time to teach their children. I'm sure he learned many valuable lessons, and created many happy memories for him later in life.
Hello everyone, I've been interested in guns for about 15 years, but only recently have I become interested in S&W revolvers. I'm looking forward to learning all I can from you.
I've been bitten by thew S&W revolver bug, and I'm close to buying something (either a 3" 686+, or the 586 L-Comp), but prices locally are about $150 more than I can find online, even after factoring in shipping and transfer fee. The more I read on this forum, the more I hear about problems...
I've been wanting one of these for several weeks, but I'm trying to figure out exactly what role it would play? Was this gun designed for concealed carry? Home defense? Simply for shooting at the range?
Those of you who own this gun, what do you use it for?
Thanks!
Hi, I was watching a Hickok45 video on youtube, and he has a really nice 3" 686+ Talo model. It's so nice, that I think I might start looking around for one. The grips on his gun, though, don't look like the current production grips on the 686+ Talo. Can anyone tell me more about these grips...
