If it was my gun I would only shoot 38 S&W in it as most of the 5" Victories converted in England only had the cylinder holes lengthened for the longer 38 special cartridge.

I have a Highway Patrolman 28 no dash with relieved targets and they're not numbered.

As others have said, it appears original to me. I have a 4" 28-2 and a 6" 28-0 with the same dull finish.

Here's my three. They're all 5 screw pre-model 27's; 8 3/8", 6 " and a 5" wearing Walnut Cokes. Real nice to shoot. .

I only have two M29's. A 6 1/2" wearing Rosewood Cokes and 4" with Walnut Targets. Reloading is the key and quite economical with SWC. .
