5 screw
The price is very fair for what it is. I have owned two of these at different times. Highly collectible and super shooters. These have a different main spring.
625 grips
The N frame round will work fine. I have aset of Altamont rose wood on one of my 625`s that fit perfectly. I had an extra pair of combat grips from a 629 dx that were too large for the 625. The only N frame exception I ever found.

The matt finish is the easiest to do. Roll marks should survive. Etched markings would have to be done at the factory. Easy to go back to the original.
I have two 625`s both with 5 inch barrels. I don`t dispute that the factory made other lengths . I believe a 3 inch would be rare. I...
357B
I use a 125 XTP loaded to a bit over 1200 fps from my 640-1. My practice load is a 125 RN cast bullet at just over 1000fps. No it is not that much fun to shoot. I use Power Pistol and it does have moderate flash.
The 357B is a bit hotter than my hand load. The key with any snub is...

The ss finish could easily be restored at the factory as well as the markings. The model of 1989 was a 5 inch and I could be wrong but a 3 inch would have been done after the gun left the factory. You might als check with Accurate Plating and weaponry.

27
I have a 27-2 that I bought new for $203.50 It is a 6 inch blue model with a standard hammer and trigger. It is one of the most accurate handguns I own. It groups tighter than my 629DX. It is not for sale.

HBWC
I used the Speer HBWC in 60`s to duplicate factory mid range match. I met a cop with A Bodyguard loaded with reverse wadcutter so I decided to try it. Not much to recommend.
Years later one of my match guns was an M27. Loaded the the HBWC in 357 brass with 3.0 gr Bullseye. The indoor...
