So picked this one up, ended up with a 745 in the similar condition instead of the compact.

So the 5906 is apparently a 1990 model, it has a THC 5609 serial number of I read it right, the 669 is a TBT 8792 and I’m thinking he said either 98 or 88. When did the 3rd gen smiths for 5906 start, isn’t 90 pretty early. and thanks again fellows, you’ve been a great help.

I’ll find out tomorrow on the 669 serial and see what it matches to , and thanks btw for the information on it. Gonna go ahead and pick up both.

What’s an unfired 5906 general worth in new unfired condition on average, I found one locally that’s unfired along with an unfired 669, may get both if I can get a decent price. The 5906 has the box but the 669 doesn’t. Thanks.

There’s 2 on GB now both are at around $7/800 with 5 or 6 days left with a lot of bids, I think the $3-500 days are over. A few weeks ago a few good samples went for $1100 plus and one hit the $1500 mark.

Hey guys, what’s the fair value of a good sample of a smith 4006 tsw chp today, I’m seeing them all over the place on gb and GI, anywhere from 8-$1500, just curious what the real word value may be. Have they all of a sudden become some collectible or something, thanks.
