    Price for 686+ 3" TALO

Sell the grips on Ebay. I sold mine there for over $100 when I bought my 3" talo. They are nice looking grips, but didn't work well for me.

    99% condition 66-4 (true love)

She looks great wearing those wood grips. I'm in love with her also.

If you bought a new S&W recently and love it... tell us!

I got a 3" 3-5-7 686 version and it is great. Straight barrel, tight, perfect right out of the box. Heavy trigger but that was quickly fixed. And the lock flag had to go.

    686 help

I searched online a while back and called several shops and found one finally. Once I got it I realized I didn't like the grey 3-5-7 grips in my hand, even though they looked GREAT. I sold them on Ebay as a buy-it-now for $100, they sold quick !

Call around, that's how I found mine.

How long of a wait for a new 686?

I would cancel the order and get one off GB or call around to a shop that has one. I was able to find one at a shop using an internet search.

    Shooting with wood grips

I put rubbers on all of my handguns. Keeps the gun planted to your hand when shooting and not jumping around.

    My first love is....

I agree with you there as that same gun is my daily carry. Like your grips !

Would I be crazy to carry a Horton 681?

I wouldn't carry that. It costs 1K more than the exact same gun with fixed sights...the 686 7 shot. But if you're a wealthy guy and don't mind de-valuing something that has such an inflated value, then have at it.

629, ported, non fluted cylinder, 3 inch barrel?

Sounds like a GREAT price. I wouldn't fret over porting, I would just buy it. Where can I buy it ?

WITHDRAWN WTS Smith 696 no dash (Ft Wayne, IN)

For sale is a Smith 696 no dash wearing Hogue Bantam grips. It has the smoothest DA trigger, very light also. I'd put the gun at 97-98%. It has a couple minor handling marks in the stainless steel...nothing that couldn't be easily buffed out. I did manage to bang the front site taking it out...

    I have a 3" 686 CS1 and a 4" 686 CS1

Thanks, I'm more of a S&W purist...I prefer 7 shooters like the original #1 had :) Great pair you have. I would not want to part with CS1s.

CS1 are all 6 shooters, right?
