    S&W 4506 First Run Question.

Interesting. I looked around for detailed pictures of 645 transitional models, as I know they bear a huge resemblance to the 4506, but I haven't found any. The gun in the movie also uses an earlier metal bottom magazine, but then again, mags are easily switched out.

    S&W 4506 First Run Question.

In the opening of the film, there's a computer animated sequence where the camera rides along the ribs in the top of the slide. While the sequence was CGI, one of the scenes in the same place show the top strap of the gun relatively clearly: While a bit blurry, there's clearly a dark strip...

    S&W 4506 First Run Question.

I was watching the movie Fight Club a few days ago, and noticed that the S&W 4506 that the characters used at the end of the film had serrations running along the top of the slide from the front sight to the rear. The 4506 in the film was an early no-dash model with the frame tapering, squared...

Do you carry a revolver for CCW? Which one?

I haven't been carrying long, but I carry a Model 60 no dash with Uncle Mikes boot grips. It's not much, but it doesn't mind the South Florida climate, and it's super easy to carry. I can't think of many guns cooler to carry than a 1970s snub nosed .38 either. I carry it in a DeSantis Nemesis...

    19-5 Pricing Question

I agree with Old Bear. There's nothing as sweet as total satisfaction with a purchase, and the inaedquacies of an item tend to linger in the back of your mind, especially if you are a perfectionist. That seems like a really good price for the gun if it's in good overall condition and it would...

    model 19-5

My Model 19-5, AEF prefix, was made in 1984 as far as I can gather. The serial number range as listed in the Standard Catalog puts it somewhere in the early 1980s, and the grips, which I assume are original to the gun, are marked JUN 18, 1984. I was lucky enough to snag a red ramped front sight...

    19-4 python 357

I guess now is as good a time as any for an inaugural post. >Smython I either came up with or read that name too after seeing this on gunbroker a few months ago: I highly doubt this is what Scottsims1 has, but just for conversations sake, it does exist (as peculiar an idea as it is) and if...
