If just wanting target loads, Hp-38 works for all those listed. In addition, it makes a good 115 fmj load in 9mm and can duplicate Speer's old 200 gn gdhp load in 44 mag. Unique also, but usually upping the power level. And getting close to max in 38 special, 9mm and 45 acp. As others...

5.5 grains unique under 230 gn lrn is the consistently accurate cast load am using. Up it to slightly over 6.0 gns for jrn.

Recutting the muzzle crown on the Socom owned gave an immediate and noticeable accuracy improvement. Standard steel cutter didn't work on the very hard barrel steel. Next big improvement came from installing standard peep and front post, depending on your use preference.

This one prefers lead full diam or coated bullets. The rifling seems slightly shallower than others. Nice shooting, but have shot the 3 incher more lately

Am partial to 5.0 gns hp-38 under that style bullet, at approximately 800 fps. And If circumstances permit, seating the bullet long enough to headspace on the bullet. While am enjoying the longer ranges , am not getting any better at it (too many drugs)

A M2 mag catch enabled reliability using 30 rd mags in the 3 carbines owned. First thing done to each was replacing the recoil springs. Also have had good experiences with the S Korean mags.
