Default Hi from W.TN

Fairly new to this all. Born in W. NC and lived and worked near Atlanta, GA most my life. Rescued!lol! Took 50 yrs. to find serendipity with my David. Then hit with a stroke and found out I had some really good friends, and family, yet abandon and shun by my children and sister, because the stoke changed me. David has shown me how to be aware of my surroundings, we all deserve respect and acceptance, freedom is about choices, and that he is almost perfect in making mistakes daily and wakes up happy everyday. Shooting is new. Taking it one step at a time. Hard to explain yet somehow may bring a wee bit more independence. Hard losing the strong person I was and now being afraid. Would of been easy to become dependant without a lot of independance in the house. Looking forward to meeting new people who enjoy the outdoors and sharing our rural living. fillygal44, we know who came up with that name!
Pat

Welcome from Texas Pat. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Sounds like you have a true partner in David. Bless you both for your journey.

Thank you all for a very heartwarming welcome. Also my welcome goes goes out to all forum members. I am still a bit uncomfortable around guns. David reminded me of "Quigley Down Under". Tom Sellec didn't care for handguns, had made himself familiar with them though.
He wants me to be familiar with what I am comfortable iwth yet also, what may someday save my life or someone else's. A handgun and a shotgun he believes is at least good to know how to use.
I'll try.
Thanks again,
Pat
