Default breaking the ice a little

Hello,
My name is Tim. I'm 38 and have been shooting rifles and shotguns since about age 9. I have a wife and 2 daughters, ages 10 yrs and 21 months. I am a printing press operator. we print anything from hershey's syrup labels to pz, quaker state, and many other oil labels. I ride atv's and until recently, have never had a chance to shoot a handgun. growing up, my dad had a few handguns, which i think my mother still has. i know at one time he had a .357 mag and a T/C Contender. he never shot them and had always them hidden in the gun cabinet. we've recently purchased a S&W sigma 40 and I'm looking forward to the weather breaking that i can shoot it. I got my concealed carry license shortly after my father passed as I knew at some point my mother would be wanting to sell his guns and transport in Pa almost "requires" it. My wife got hers a few months ago when we decided to buy a handgun.

My father in law was a part time state police officer here in northwestern PA . Tthe group he was with has since been disbanded, but my wife grew up shooting also, with more extensive handgun experience than me.

Welcome Tim, from a fellow "printer" back in the day. I ran a 17" Harris. Was fun work in a small shop. You'll love this forum. Many great people here and a ton of knowledge on board.

sprefix,
i currently operate a 40" heidleberg speedmaster with a cutstar(feeds from rolls and cuts sheet to size). one of 5 in our shop. we also have 6 flexo presses, but i don't get to go on that side of the wall very often. it's a different profession that i enjoy very much.

thanks for the welcome all...
