I have always loved that blue box and waxed paper. I hate the plastic carrying cases.
I Learned a lot about real shooting and not just plinking with a S&W 66.

I have not had a Smith for a while. The last one was an Airweight I had for carry. I was convinced I need a hi cap auto and traded it. I have since gone back to a wheelgun carry this time the LCR. I got it just before the new bodyguards came out.

I just bought a 41 this week. A S&W 41 has been on my list of guns to own for a long time. I had decided to move from rifle to pistol competition because I can get to a good range more often for practice. I was shooting Highpower Rifle and have settled on Bullseye Pistol .
I have a Ruger MKII stainless target 5.5 with a tasco propoint reddot on it and was shooting it. I had planned on building a marvel unit1 on a dedicated 1911 frame. Now from a logical same frame both guns kind of way that made sense. Then this Smith popped up on a local forum being sold at a pawn shop for $539.00 out the door. I did not even take time to think about how a new marvel unit 1 would have that test target attesting to it's prowess. I had to have it. I even took a long lunch just to go get it. It needs to be reblued and the bolt pin starts to work its way out after about 5 rounds but it is the best and favorite pistol I have ever owned.

It does not hurt that I shoot it well.

I got my #6-48 screws from Midway USA and have attached the scope rail. I will order my Ultradot next week. In the mean time I have mounted a Burris 5X scope. I will get to the range on Monday and see how it shoots with glass.

Man I love this pistol.
The picture from the ad I bought it off of.

Welcome from Jonesboro, GA. Great looking M41, and they are hard to beat from an accuracy standpoint.
