Default Greetings from tropical Fairbanks.

Howdy. I entered this forum to learn more about the first gun that I've bought in over 40 years. Thanks to y'all, I've learned quite a bit. At first, I thought that I paid way too much. Now, however, I realize that I got a very sweet deal on a very sweet gun. It's a pre-17 K-22 5 screw, with just enough blueing loss to make it pretty. Target diamond grips and hammer make it a perfect fit. Despite the bad things I've read about trigger shoes, this gun has a trigger shoe that I would'nt remove for anything. I suppose I'm turning into a "gun-nut" now because I'm looking for an older moder 48. I can't really justify buying any of these things, but, oh well, you know how it is.

Welcome from Texas Mike McLellan. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Know what you mean about the K-22. Mine is a Model 17 (no dash) and my 48-4 is just as sweet.
