Hi from Canada
Hi:
I am a 49 year old construction worker from the Kooteneys in BC.
I have hunted and fished most of my life. I just recently bought my first hand gun, a M&P 40 range and carry kit. The range part is the only thing we are aloud to use it for up here. But it is still a great way to kill a few hours. and some paper. Its also slightly cheaper then the bar, with no hangover. I have just started shooting PPC at my local club and hope to do a black badge course next spring.

Welcome from Texas Steve. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.
Always grand to have a new member of the S&W family join in from up north.
You started with a good pistol, not my favorite, but still a solid firearm.
My favorite is my M&P 45 ACP followed VERY closely by my 4506.

I went into the gun shop looking to buy a cz75b in 40, but found the M&P just felt better in my hands. The next decision was caliber 45 or 40, 9 is boring imho. I went with the 40 only because of cost of ammo it seemed to be reasonable, $90/250 compared to $110/200. I'm doing a reloading course here next month. Then I'll be looking for a steel 45 and a big wheel gun 460 or 44. Just cause I can.
