People do this all the time with HiPowes, 1911s, Glocks, HKs.....especially HKs. Nothing new. What's considered good enough for the factory will not please everyone.

Why do people change the sights on guns? Why isnt that keeping the engineers up at night?

If you look at Apex, their main thing is tunning revolvers. One could make the same argument for those too.

Didn't think twice about putting the APEX kit in. Didn't think twice about putting the big dot on... And didn't think twice about the stippled tan back pad I added....

Got other more important things to think about

Some people like them just the way they are, others like to modify them. It's up to the individual.

Default It's like getting a car

It's like getting a car. The first thing you do is put headers and big tires on it.

Welcome from Texas ARNWRKR. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Well, FWIW, I still have the factory trigger on my duty sidearm, M&P 45 ACP and just finished qualifications with a 96%. Not everyone needs the modification you speak of.
