I'm looking for anyone who can furnish me with the serial number range for a group of S&W Model 686 revolvers that had a 6 inch barrel that had a black satin/blue finish. These revolvers were made in 1989 and there were approximately 2900 of them made.

Unfortunately too many people acquired a Model 686 and had it blued by a local gunsmith, and today they are trying to pass it off as one of these 1989 limited Model 686 revolvers.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
