Default Trying to learn

Came hear trying to research some thing, joined through tapatalk. This app is very cool, I don't normally enjoy looking through forums - with the app it's great!

Anyways, I need to be redirected to some sub-forums I couldn't identify in a cursory look through.

I'm trying to learn the correct term for the part below the barrel that houses the ejector rod - the term that would be used in the factory. You can tell me (please) or point me in the right direction (thank you).

Also, I read a couple of quick articles about this but nothing seemed to jump out as the right way to do identification when you can't id serials etc - I have a pic, but no details. Love to know what it is. I'd post it now... But I know forums are filled with type A folks would get irritated quickly about posting the wrong thing in the wrong spot... Don't want to start on the wrong foot.

Thank you and glad to be a member.

Welcome from Wisconsin!

It's pretty hard starting on the wrong foot on such a friendly site as this one. You might be "advised" though, lol. I've done it myself just to let the OP know that his questions would get faster & more detailed answers by people more expert if posted in the proper forum. Pictures will help a lot.

We're glad to have you as a member.
