FNG Ohio
Hi guys. ...Nice looking place you got here. The guys over at SKSboards suggested this place.
A bit about myself, I'm into archery and Clay Sports shooting. My gun interest center around European and Comm Bloc milsurp.
I here, looking for info. I'm liquidating an estate for a friend and it has a number of older S&Ws. Some, I have no idea what they are...and I have stumped others with pics. Also, I got a bunch of 624, 625, 626, & 629 stamped guns that I can't seem to narrow down a model configuration nor a value. Do you guys have a "textual based" super thread somewhere, that I can research these 6-series? I hate to be the stereotypical newb, that posts a bunch of "What do I have" threads and bails.
Thanks
Frog

Welcome to the Forum.
The 6 series guns are all stainless ones.
The M624 is highly sought after by collectors. The M625 is a really good shooter, as is the M629. That one is especially desirable if it is a no-dash, meaning no - after the model number.
There is no M626.
Post some serial numbers, found on the bottom of the butt and we can tell you the year they were made. Also what are the barrel lengths, measured fro muzzle to front of cylinder?
If you can give us pictures that would be great.
Jim

They are what we use to tell what year it was made.
