New guy from WI
Hello my name is Beau!
I've joined this forum to hopefully gain knowledge and advice regarding older model S&W revolvers. I recently garnered interest in owning one, or several, of these historic pieces. So hopefully I can learn the market, the design, and the history of these older models to make an informed purchasing decision.
Ice breaker: My favorite gun in my collection is my Staccato P that my wife gave to me on our wedding day. What about you?

Welcome aboard from coastal North Carolina. My favorite revolver is one I carried for more than 24 years - a nickel 4" Model 19-4.

You ask about a favorite, and I am torn trying to pick one or the other. It depends on the day perhaps.
Anyway, you like older S&W's, so here are a few that have been around for a bit.....
Baby Chiefs Special that shipped in 1951 and a 1917 shipped September 1918..... Kind of a 'father & son' picture.

I'm going to guess it was a duty carry gun. Wish I could've been working during that era, rather than the one we're in now.

Favorite? I suppose that would be my first contact with S&W. A model 10-5 department issued revolver. I still have that old beauty, a bit worn, but still a beauty in my eye.
