I take back what I said about the movie 2012

I haven't seen either one, I went to see True Grit and I may go see The Conspirator. Avatar didn't look good in the commercials and 2012 didn't either.

I also watched the original The Mechanic the other night but didn't stay up to watch Mr. Majestyk.

I'd gladly sit through a 2012 and Avatar marathon if it meant I never had to see Eat Pray Love again. Ugh. Wife asked for it for Christmas. It sits on our shelf, right next to Mama Mia!

Agree with the thumbs down on Avatar. Quite possibly one of the worst movies I have seen in the recent past. I had to watch it for no other reason than all the hype.

I will probably watch 2012 just because it is there.

"Don't ever quit your day job to become a movie reviewer. Avatar is the highest grossing film of all-time with receipts of more than $2.7 billion. Apparently, at least a couple of people must have liked it."
This just documents how many IDIOTS we have in the USA.

Couple weeks ago I drove past a pizza place called Pay, Eat, Leave. I thought it was a great play on the movie title.

You'll be sooooorry!

Worst that I can remember. I'm another one who is thankful that I didn't pay $9-10 to see it.

That bad huh?

Was told tonight that I should watch a movie called "The Crazies". Ever hear of it?

I liked The Crazies - if you're talking about the new version with Timothy Oliphant of "Justified" fame. It even has a 3 1/2 inch Model 27 prominently featured.

As far as Avatar goes, the only reason to see it was for the 3D. If you're watching it at home you're wasting your time.

I like Will Smith but I am Legend was a direct copy of Omega Man.

All right, I have to release the inner nerd for a second.

I Am Legend was a novel written in the 50's. Omega Man was a film adaptation of the novel, as was the Will Smith film.

Interesting, I was not aware of the novel. I will have to find a copy if it around somewhere.

But now that you mention it, the Sequence would be The novel, The Last Man on Earth (1964), Omega Man (1971) and somewhere in there The Night of the Living Dead(1968) and then Wil Smith;)

Nothing is original:( any more.

Probably the only remake I liked better was, The Fly with Jeff Goldblum even though Vincent Price was a classic.
