BCM Gunfighter Charging Handle Fit M&P10?

I don't care for the charging handle on my new M&P10. Has anyone tried the BCM Gunfighter handle for 308s? I emailed BCM and they replied they did not know if it fit the M&P10.

I have the BCM charging handle on all my ARs and like it very much. It would be a good thing to have on my M&P10 if it will fit.

The ar15 will not fit. I have the bcm ar10 gunfighter handle on my M&P10, works fine.
 
I have the ar10 bcm gunfighter large in mine, had to shave it a little on the bottom side to get it to fit right, works fine tho.
 
Thanks. The 308 and 5.56 handles are different sizes so the smaller handle will not fit the larger gun. I guess I will order one and give it a try.
 
I just received my BCM and it seems tight... More effort required (Than I'd like) to pull the charging handle back... Swap the stocker back in and is perfect... Any details on where to trim the BCM slightly for it to function smoothly?

You might consider giving this one a try too. I have one (5.56 model) on my M&P 15 and (7.62 model) on my M&P 10, very snazzy if you can find them in stock. Fits and works great!

Old thread revival. I got a BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 and it seems to work just fine.

I was quite surprised to see the "will not fit" remark on the back of the package since nothing on the Cheaper Than Dirt! web site indicated that there may be a compatibility issue.

I haven't shot the rifle with the handle installed as of yet but doing a trigger function check (installed a new trigger as well), he handle operated no better or worse than stock. Access is a lot better with the oversize latch button but otherwise, it operates no differently than OEM.
 
I walked into Adco Firearms this morning and they had a BCM Mod4 hanging on the wall. I grabbed it and figure I'd give it a try.

Brought it home, dropped it in and it fit with no binding anywhere.

Either S&W changed something or BCM did because early reports from last year indicated that most M&P users had to modify it to get it to work. I did notice comparing the CH's side by side that the BCM I have doe not have a pronounced hump in the groove near the front like some early reports said needed to be filed down.

Anyway, I'm happy mine works unmolested. YMMV
 
I like mine so far. I really wanted a Raptor charging handle but no one seems to have one.

I had the same tight fit problem on my BCM handle. I found this video on youtube and applied his modifications and now everything works great. It took me about 15 minutes to modify the handle, just file a little and fit.

Mine must have been after this video was made since mine seems to function properly. I'll keep the mod in mind though if shooting shows a problem. I'm still waiting for the weather to break and to have time to take it back out to see what my up grades have done.
 
I also have heard of the issues, but ordered the BCM LARGE handle for my Camo M&P 10. I thought I would have to do the mods as well. But it fit perfect with zero binding. The package states it is not compatible, but works flawlessly.
 
For less than $20 you can get A Brownells or UTG large charging handle LEVER.
