This NOT a question of smoking or not---though some will rant on about this----it is about some cigarettes that I got from a friend and I am wondering who makes them.
Mike and his wife went on a cruise last week----Mike bums off me to the point that it has become a running joke---and i asked him to get me some Winston's if he could---you know without duty and taxes--on the cheap, if you get the drift.
Well, he did.
$20 a carton---6 cartons. YEAAAAAAAAAA !
Anywho----they are Winston's I guess.
I have bought Cigs at the duty free shop in airports before----here in Houston all they carry is Marlboro. I did have some experience with some I bought in Europe--think they were eastern European products of Marlboro.
Any way, these are Winston's bought in Mexico and have the term "American Flavor" on them and they are the product of JT International---I am thinking that is Winston's by them in Europe.
Anybody got a clue ?
Blessings

Sometimes the pack will say where they are from. I've bought cigarettes overseas before and occasionally (when I bother to look) it will say in small letters "product or Switzerland"

How do they taste? Usually foreign tobacco tastes a little different. I have been making my own with American tobacco & a top o matic machine for over 9 years & my expense is $10 a carton.

They don't taste Eastern--I have had them before.
Tested for lead ? HUMMMM--no---I did inhale strongly and hold it--since they were from Mexico-- but that didn't work.
The JTI seems to be a good answer----thanx.
Blessings

yes--I like them.
I am a pack a day person--have always been, so, my cost are not quiet as steep as some.
It is a choice.
I quit for 10 years.
Miserable 10 years I might add.

Just a silly.....

Don't you mean "AS a cigarette should?" ;)

Just a silly millimeter longer, 101s.

It's what's up front that counts.

To a smoker, it's a Kent.

Camels are mild, mild, mild. (Who are they kidding?)

I'd walk a mile for a Camel.

I'm sending Chesterfields to all my friends....Ronald Reagan

Viceroy for the taste that's right.

Newport, refreshes while you smoke.

Us Tareyton smokers would rather fight than switch.

Get lots more from an L&M.

Three, four, maybe five words longer than King Size. (Remember the Indian sending smoke signals to the girl? Benson and Hedges)

Come to where the flavor is. Come to Marlboro Country.

Show me just one filter that won't take away the taste and I'll eat my hat!

Air softens every puff.

Call for Philip Morris!

Would you offer a Tiparello to a violinist? (The violinist that was in the picture, hell yeah!)

Doral (?)

Silva Thins (I tried one of these. It was AWFUL:cool:)

Pall Mall (Why were they pronounced Pell Mell?)

True (had the funny shaped plastic filter that made all the difference in the world.:))

Vantage

You've got your own cigarette now, baby. You've come a long, long way.

Parliament (recessed filter)

Lark (activated coconut charcoal filter. I worked for the company that made the stuff)

Kool ( I called these Kruels because everybody I knew that smoked them coughed up blood)

Chesterfield

Carleton

Basic

Did I mention Lucky Strikes? Belvedere? Raleigh?

Laredo (they gave you components and you rolled it yourself)

There may be a few more of the American brands that were commonly advertised but that's about it for my memory.

Pall Mall . . . . you can light either end.
Or, you can break'em in half and smoke'em
from the middle.

Outstanding!
And, they are mild.
