But occasionally, reading through older threads about Victory models, one comes across speculation that an unmarked Victory might have been an OSS gun. Such illusions are usually quickly dashed by the experts.
However, these guns do exist. We know from Pate that the OSS received quite a few. And in a place I can't mention or link, I just came across the first Victory I'd seen that actually lettered to the OSS.
So just as a curiosity, I thought I'd share a snip of the letter that was pictured. Forget about secret and exotic locations, by the way. All OSS guns went to the OSS warehouse in Rosslyn, VA, with no info on where they were sent from there. I'm adding a Colt letter that references the same place in a bit more detail.
