Just got home from 13hr shift.And the wife has something called Cma music fest on.I asked where the country was and she was not amused.Oh well I guess I will turn off my hearing aids and open a bottle of Blantons bourbon.

There is absolutely no good country music in Philly. I think the best country music comes out of Texas, not Nashville.

Who would have thought 70's Rock would have turned into to 90's rap? And can we say Justin Beiber?
I like some the "NEW" country. Some of it I don't. And it sure beats RAP and Bieber in my book.
Times change. And there will never be another "No Show" "Possum" George Jones, or Waylon! But in 30 years, they'll be saying there will never be another Chris Stapleton?
But I do like the 100's of millions that Country Music generates for Nashville and Middle Tennessee!

I listen to Willy's Roadhouse on XM in my pickup and when I am in the tractors or combines there is a country AM station that i can pickup that only plays up to the 80's country music, with real DJs that talk about the history of the songs.
Country music these days? It's rockabilly, Fleetwood Mac with a steel guitar. If Buddy Holly and Elvis had lived, their stuff would be on the new country stations. And why does Carrie Underwood have to yell at me? Every one of her tunes, she's yelling, not singing.

That's why I listen to Bluegrass and Southern Gospel. I will not allow trash on my radio. By the way, Utube has some great music videos, Chet Atkins, Tommy Emmanuel, The Isaacs........

Good! Philly isn't exectly know as country. It would be about as odd as rap from rural Virginia or cheese steaks from California! Don't mess with the harmony of the cosmos. Some things are not ment to be!!
