I was just curious on the people who had bent/kinked magazine springs in the 9mm Shield. Has anyone had a failure with the new springs they sent. I'm still waiting on my new springs to come in from S&W. I just ordered more magazines the other day and I'm hoping they have the updated springs in them, but I'm sure I have no way to know for sure.

I had a one that kept kinking couple years ago , threw it way any and bought a 3 pack of springs from Wolff. No problems with other four Mags I own

I was so fed up with 2 magazines having the folding spring I was ready to sell it. The date on the side of my box shows March 2017 so that's what made me figure they didn't fix this issue yet. I'm thinking about just getting the Wolff springs and sticking with just the 8 rounders. Seems like those don't fail as much as the 7s.

wow didnt know this was a known issue. I had one that kinked on my 7rd, so i bought the magguts kits to +2 it and still keep my other 7 and 8

The new Springs from S&W came in today, but i also ordered a 10 pack of Wolff Springs as well and they come in tomorrow. I am tempted to just replace them all with the Wolff springs and be done with it.

Do they feel a lot better as far as quality goes? Says 5% extra power also so I'm sure they are a bit stiffer.

Wolff's quality is top-notch-I have used their springs for years.I didn't notice any strength difference between the Wolff and stock springs, but I use an upLula to load my mags.

I shot my Shield yesterday and find the magazines are impossible to load to capacity without a tool. Tried leaving them loaded, really no change. Will a spring change solve this difficulty?

My Shield9 loosened up after around 500 rounds.

My Shield45 only took 1-200.

Patience my man...It'll get there.

Remain calm and UpLula away :D

LOL, you should try the 45 ACP... :D

I finally gave up and bought an UpLula, life is good.
