Honda EU1000i generator assistance.**UPDATE--#24**

So I finally had some free time to work on the generator. I took the carburetor apart (again). Pit the jets in a baby food jar and squirted some carburetor cleaner in with them. Let them soak for a few minutes. Took them out and cleaned the outside with a toothbrush. Used the straw on the can to clean the inside out.

Put it all back together, pulled the rope and it started on the first pull.

Thought the jet was clear, but was mistaken.

Good post, memtb, but one mistake on the alcohol used. The alcohol in today's gas is ethanol, not methanol. Methanol is poisonous and can be absorbed through the skin. Ethanol is much less toxic and is the alcohol we drink. ;)

Use a strand of copper wire (pull it from lamp cord, etc) to
probe-clear jets.

Use marine gas (non-ethanol) WITH Sta-Bil for generator
unless you run it every day.

Get a bigger generator now, before you need one. Honda's
are nice but have rested on their laurels for 25 years, and
great inverter generators are a commodity these days--
just as good for 1/4 to 1/2 the price of a Honda.
