I'm a lefty shooting rifles so flip the rifle over and charge with right hand . My right index finger and hand locked up had to rub it out under warm water. Would appreciate recommendations on quality extended latch or ambidextrous charging handles - Thanks

I'm a righty, but I use this Badger Ordnance so I can charge one-handed. Makes it easier when you've got a big scope on your rifle. Might work for you too.

Thanks all for the suggestions some are out of stock, ordered a Radian Raptor from Midway USA. Charging handle is the only mod maybe a optic later, installed M1 sling yesterday.

IMHO the best mod is the Hogue grip followed by a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot sight

There are a plethora of ambi charging handles out there.
Geissele ambi on mine, pricy, but it feels like it's on ball bearings. You get what you pay for in a charging handle.

I've heard the Radian's are very precise and smooth feeling too. Bravo's function and are dependable, but that's about it, that's why there so cheap (I have some of them too).

I've been considering getting one of these for the pistol build I completed last year. I have always run the GI style charging handles but also always wanted the ambi feature on it too.

Ambidextrous Charging Handle .223/5.56/.300 – Durkin Tactical

Disclaimer, I am in no way affiliated with the company, just considering them as they aren't too badly priced, and in stock, unlike some of the other brands mentioned above..

The Geissele airborne CH with the small levers is about the best I've used. The standard model digs into the specs and sternum too much, great ch but too big. I carry my rifle on a sling most of the time I have it in my hands so the handle size matters alot.

I know this isn't what you asked for, but learn to shoot right handed. I was a lefty up until at 40 went blind in my left eye from Multiple Sclerosis I learned over the summer to shoot right handed, and never looked back. Some of my vision returned to my left eye with treatment so now I can shoot from either side if needed...Oh I used a pellet rifle to learn on....

Radian Raptor arrived and installed a lot easier and quicker to operate . I shoot pistol RH , write LH, hold steering wheel LH , throw RH I'm mixed up guess I'm not really in my right mind.
