Would anyone with a vintage Don Hume catalog be able to tell me the specific differences between the H215 holster versus the Jordan H216 holster in size 2-4” (S&W N Frame 4” barrel)? Through my research I have found the H216 to be universally referred to as the Jordan Border Patrol model but the H215 seems very similar to the H216 and just looking to understand the differences between these two vintage Don Hume holster. Thanks in advance for any info.

I don't have the Don Hume catalog, but I looked at a few Don Hume holsters here on the WWW. Maybe (just maybe) the difference is the
216 has the rear sight protector and the 215 does not? Not sure.

I don't know if we will get an answer, but I did ask the question.
In my 1976 catalog the only Jordan holster shown is the 216 with 216-SG for the sight guard version. 286 for thumb snap. Added suffix SO for 'snap on' belt loop for all three.
The 215 may be the long shank version which lost the popularity battle to the short shank River holster.
For example, my 1970 Gil Hebard catalog lists only the River holster and labels it as such. No Hume model number used. In the 1976 catalog, it's simply the Jordan holster. No separate River model listed.
We've talked about that in the past, but I don't remember the years involved and certainly not the model numbers.
The 217 is the straight drop Combs design as worn by Bill Jordan in his later years when giving demonstrations.

SURPRISE SURPRISE! I did receive a reply from my email to Don Hume.
Shniece Zinn in Sales answered. She said the H215 was 1" longer in the
drop than the other, and worked better with jackets.
