Sig has 365XL/MS frames back in stock, so since I never pocket carry the 365, only OWB or AWIB, picked one up.

Takes just a few minutes to swap the XL frame for the original 365 frame, thanks to Sig's modular design. What I already like about the frame swap;
-the extended beavertail locks into my grip better
-the XL grip is a tad thicker than the 365 stock frame
-whereas the 12 round mag has a bit of play when in the 365 frame, it locks solid in the XL frame being fully encased.

Have a Hogue Handall on the way for my XL mitts, along with a Tactical Development Pro Ledge base pad for a better grab, even though the 365 ejects mags well.

To me, the whole allure of the P365 was the fact that I could stick an 11 round (10+1), reliable and accurate pistol in my front pocket in a DeSantis Nemesis. I do carry it OWB at least 1/2 the time as well, but the compactness (to me) outweighs the need for the two extra rounds. I always carry a spare 10 round Magazine and figure if 21 rounds isn't enough then I should have brought Thompson - lol!

There are some that just prefer the slightly larger profile because they have huge hands and I can understand that too. Even with the larger grip frame it's still relatively compact so what ever works for you. :)

Where I live 10+1 is the best I can own. :mad:
 
I have (2) 365's ( his & hers) and just picked up a 365XL cause my better half liked her 365 so well. She'll use the XL as her bedside HD, after I get her a Crimson Trace to go on it.

Anyway, to me, I believe I prefer the 365 over the XL, like both, just think the 365 feels better to me. But having 15 rounds in the XL is nice though.
 
If I wanted to switch back to a 10 round pocket carry congfiguration it would take about 5 mins. And when travelling to California to see kids/grandkids, I'll switch frames so I can legally carry the 365 unloaded in my Console Vault with two 10 round magazines.
Sig's modularity with the fire control unit swappable with both frames and barrels is a huge customer plus.
 
Installled the 365XL Hogue Handall, converted a factory 365 12 round mag with a Tactical Development plate, and put a couple hundred rounds through the weapon including a box of HST that is my carry round. Conclusion is this current set-up is the most comfortable and shootable semi I've ever carried.

The 365 is a well thought out design. I put a std gripframe on an XL topend for my ideal carry. That longer slide and barrel help my shooting and conceals just as easy. The shorter frame conceals better than the XL grip frame for me. Put standard trigger in too, the straight XL trigger pinched me on occasion.

I recently bought a P365XL, and was considering a P365X (the new factory version of 365 slide + XL grip). I decided the extra barrel length was worth having, and wouldn't affect concealment.

For comparison's sake, the XL slide is no longer than a Shield, which is not very long at all!

I bought two of the XL frames for my son's and my P365. I swapped mine and I could not get the slide/barrel back on the frame. It finally went on, but I could not rack the slide without pulling the trigger. I watched every video I could find and finally called SIG. They could not diagnose the problem on the phone so back to Sig it went (sent Thursday, 6-17). Hopefully, I will have it back in a week or so. They said since its my law enforcement off duty gun they will rush it (at least that's what they said)

On a more positive note, my son's swapped out without incident. He shot it yesterday and he is more in love with it than with the longer grip.

The only issue is that the 10 round mags do not work. The older 12 and 15 round mag bases will not work and have to be switched out. (The newer mags ship with both bases, but I had five 12 round and three 15 round mags that did not and I had to source and buy new bases.

While my gun would not work, it felt so much better to me.

I saw several of the new 365X guns at the gun show and at a couple LGS. They have the flat trigger and the slide is cut for a red dot (some come with the Sig red dot installed.) As I don't particularly like the flat trigger and can't stand a red dot on a pistol, buying the frame was all I needed.

All user preference, really. The first iteration was a masterpiece. Just my opinion. Should an XL feel better to YOU, then go for it.

Alternatively, have both, one in each pocket. :)

I have three 12 round magazines for my 365 and they fit well with no play whatsoever. Did you put on the grip extender that came with it?
 
I have been carrying a Sig 365XL for about 6 months. I like it very much, has never missed a beat with whatever ammo I use in it.
Comfortable to shoot and very accurate. Can’t find fault with it at all.
Ok, just one…the magazines are really hard to load. They do loosen up some, but I still need a mag loader to get the last few in.

 
I don't pocket carry so just went for the XL right off the bat to have the optics mounting capability. Can't say enough good things about that pistol, punches way above its weight.

I have noticed that as well!! The magazines get extremely hard to load when you get about 8 rounds in. It must be a design flaw, packing all those rounds in such a small mag. Wonder if it has any adverse effect on the longevity of the magazine springs.....

It gets easier. When I first got my XL, the last two rounds were difficult to load, but after months of use they're still stiff, but much less difficult. Part of the design, you don't get tiny size, reliability, and good capacity without a tradeoff, in this case the minor hassle of stiff mag springs.

BUy one of those magazine thingies to reload them. I did and it makes all tthe difference on the world. Lapuda or something like that
