Just picked up my latest purchase, after a 2 week wait for the BGC. It's a Dan Wesson model W12 with 2,4 and 6" barrels. It's in a case that may or may not be an original pistol pack case. 2 of the barrels have the recessed nut while one has the external nut, so I'm pretty sure this is a complete mixmaster. The case might be a repurposed clarinet case for all I know. No Standard Catalog for the Dan Wessons and other sources of info are scarce. I joined the Dan Wesson forum, but it's not near as busy as this one. Mechanically, it is in perfect shape and the finish is probably 98%+. The grips show use, but I'm looking into replacements. Needs the windage adjustment screw for the rear sight too. I know I paid too much, but I always wanted a barrel swapper! I might have to look for a 15" just for grins and giggles! If anybody has any more info, I'm all ears!

Thank you. I know where to find replacement cloth for the lining. Just don't want to spend the time and money if it's not an original case. if it's not original, I'll just use it as is or build a nice wooden case for it. Hopefully the other site has a Roy Jinks like guru who can pin it down for me.:)
 
DW .22

I have a .22 LR with an 8-inch barrel. Got it from my son-in-law who bought it new in '78. Came in a DW vinyl case with cylinder gap gauge and barrel tool.

I bought a NOS matching 4-inch barrel for it.

IMO, the old DW revolvers had the best mirror-polished blue finish of any brand during that time period.


I'd like to have a model 15 pistol-pac someday.
 
I don't recall the 12 in a pistol pack. I have a model 15 pork chop similar to yours and believe the pistol packs came on the 15-2 which didn't have the long handles off the barrel shrouds. Those will not interchange barrels with the 15-2's. The barrels will but a shroud would have to be totally manufactured or a bubba weld job. Please PM me of you ever want to sell either the 6" or 2" barrels.
 
Well, I found out from the DW forum that my case is original and didn't come with fabric, just the grey foam. So, I don't have to recover it in fabric. Still need the sight screw, but Numrich has them.
Needsmostuff, thanks for the heads up. I'll have to buy one or two of those.:)
 
A very nice gun, lihpster. I have likely overpaid at times, when you see what you're looking for you have to jump on it. I always worked hard for my money..now that I really am retired it's time to enjoy it.
