What kind of knife do you carry, if any?

Glad to see some Sog fans. Been carrying my Sog Trident A/T in OD green. Really beefed up version of the older Sog Trident line. Spring assist much quicker than the older version. Bit more weight to carry but 3.7 inch blade comes in handy.

EDC depends if I;m at work or not
This day at work a small Schrade OT and a Delica with a Shield 1.0

Kershaw Leek #1660 and / or Kershaw Fatback #1935

The Leek is flat and slim w/ 3" blade ... lightweight and easy to carry .

The Fatback is thicker w/ 3.5" blade ...heavy duty .

I need a knife I can open and close easily with one hand ... and the Kershaw Speed-Safe mecanisim does that job better than any other + they are not considered "switchblades" and exempt from regulations .

I own many Kershaws...but the Leek and Fatback are the favorites selected through everyday carry and use .

I pocket carry a Leatherman Juice. Kershaw Leek clipped to the handlebar bag on my bicycle. Opinals on my office desk and bedside table. Swiss Army knife of various models in every vehicle. Carried a Spyderco Endura clipped IWB until I traded into my first automatic, a Benchmade Autocrat.

Every ranch and farm kid in my high school carried a pocket knife or wore one on a belt. Circa 1959.

I carry $20 single blade, small like mini lite buck, Case Blackthorn, ect. I’m not going to get into knife fight and I loose a couple a year. I use mine several times daily the only rotation it gets is lost.

For me knives are tools, not weapons. My everyday carry knife is a Swiss Army knife (mechanics model) which I use a lot. I only use my bigger serrated Kershaw folder for heavy duty cutting jobs that are too much for my Swiss Army knife.

BTW, my S&W guns are a Model 10-5, Model 67-1, SD9 VE with an Apex trigger & spring kit, and a Victory 22LR semiautomatic.

When I was on Fire/Rescue, I always had a Leatherman of one model or another. The last one I got was a Wave.

Now-a-days, I carry an Atomic Defender D/A OTF.
Inexpensive, sturdy, good blade and (of course) 1-handed operation :D).

Since Michigan revised its laws several years ago I always carry an auto which I rotate from time to time. Right now I'm carrying a model by CRKT. Prior to that it was a model from Heretic.

Benchmade Mel Purdue 530 with light, handcuff key and cash. Flat ,light weight and sharp. I had intended to post in this thread sometime ago but I had to wait for my wife to give me some money. You married men understand.

Great thread here. Glad to see so many packin. Still with the Sog Trident AT for now but waiting on Sogs new FX fixed blade Trident. A small fixed blade sounds like an alternative. Feel kinda naked without a knife now!

For me, it’s a Leatherman Supertool. Bigger, strong pliers, plenty of tools. Many other tools to choose from in the Leatherman line of various size, shapes and tool options. If I carry just a knife, it’s a stainless steel Camillius US Army pocket knife like the ones pictured below:

I work In an office and wear a suit. I work mainly with women so I needed something friendly. Years ago I decided on a mnandi 1st generation. I recently upgraded to a damascus before they decided to add the hole.

Outside of work sometimes I switch to my delica.
