Recommend an AR 10 in 308 and Scope

I forgot I also have an LMT that I nave yet to put optics on it, but it is still a lot lighter than the 901.

Just picked up a Ruger SFAR for under $1k last night. Putting a basic 3x9 Leupold on it to start out and see where things go from there. I haven't shot it but I can say I won't be needing to put an aftermarket trigger on it. All my AR-15s run Timney or Larue triggers. This new rig has a wonderful 2 stage trigger I really like.

I went with an Armalite also. I went all-out and got the Super SASS. It's really sweet, but pricy.

Unfortunately, with the Armalite you are pretty limited as to add-ons in the way of uppers. The "industry wide" standard has become the DPMS configuration, and they don't interchange. So if you want an array of uppers, you are stuck with Armalite and one or two others.

Have fun!

For the money an Armalite AR-10 is great. I had an AR-10(T) I've since sold. I also have a Colt LE901-SE. I tested it against the AR-10...ammunition from the same box...the same P-Mag magazine. The two rifles weighed the same...same overall length. Both were completely reliable. The Colt balanced better...the Colt was more accurate...the Colt showed less felt recoil. But the differences were minor and subjective. I would be comfortable using either.

But the Armalite had one feature over the Colt that's difficult to ignore...it cost half as much for nearly the same performance.

LM308MWS with 18” stainless barrel and Vortex PST Gen II 3-15 F1 scope. If you have $4,600.00 it could be yours.
