Not sure if this is the place for this, but for your ammo needs if you are in Ohio or nearby I cannot recommend a place more highly than the professionals at Aim Surplus. Heard about them on this forum and have been buying all my ammo from them since. They update you every step of the way and send an image of your order before shipping. Both times I've ordered lots of ammo and was shocked to see it get to the complete opposite end of the state in two business days or less. If you are in the region and looking for a legit Online Ammo source that does the small things right, definitely give them a look!

Use to buy a lot of surplus guns from them on a C &R license back in the cheap import days. Often great deals on mil surplus ammo as well. Usually good service and price. Don’t offer much that need anymore but I’ve no complaints.

Aim Surplus

They are 5 stars in my book. Been doing business with them for years. Received a package from them yesterday & have another enroute for tommorow. 48 hours from time of order till order received at at my door or my FFL depending on what it is.

I echo the five-star rating on AIM Surplus. I have done a bunch of business with them over the years and the service is superb. The C&R handguns I purchased from them were all in very good condition and as advertised on their site.

Unfortunately/fortunately I live within a 30 minutes drive of AIM's showroom. I have done business with them for many many years and I have bought a bunch of ammo, AR parts, magazines and guns from them. Their customer service has always been first rate, even when the showroom has been packed full of people nearly at closing time. I usually place my orders online and choose the pickup option which has so far reserved availability and speeds up the checkout process.

Eventually I need to make a pilgrimige there from the North 😂 I'd love to see the store in person.

I used to buy from AIM often but not so much anymore. Their current pricing is crazy high on surplus and used arms.

I buy from AIM regularly, good selection and excellent service! I live about a 45 minute drive away so I usually just drive down and get what I need (take the wife along and we eat out somewhere and make a day of it). I have ordered things shipped now and then, when busy or the weather is crappy. Items have always been well packed and arrived in great shape!

Up until about 1 1/2 - 2 years ago (maybe more), all they had was a pickup counter. They have a showroom now but it is pretty small. They do have several display cases with handguns and a bunch of sample built up MSR rifles on the wall, so you can see the different parts and how they look when all together. Think small hole in the wall gun shop and you'll get an idea of the size.

Surplus gun prices, especially for milsurps, have gone through the roof in the last couple of years. I recently got put straight on another forum where I had flat out laughed at the starting bid for a worn, Savage built, Enfield No.4. I was invited to check the recent sales of Enfields on BrokeGunner. What I learned was I need more insurance.

I still have a pile of South African .308 from them socked away for a rainy decade...good company.

I also have been amazed at the prices asked for surplus Lee Enfields recently. I have a couple that I bought many years ago when they were relatively cheap. Rather than more insurance I need to list them for sale :)

Unfortunately, my one and only experience with AIM Surplus was so thoroughly negative that it turned me off to them for good.

Long story short, a few years ago I ordered a Romanian Tokarev TT-33C from them described as; "meticulously refinished and reconditioned" yet it arrived worn, dirty, and rusty inside. They refused to offer me an exchange or refund, so I got stuck with a firearm that was not as described which I otherwise wouldn't have purchased at all if I knew that it was in such condition.

It's not just Enfields. Prices of Carcanos, Arisakas, and the Japanese Type I have been eye watering in the last couple of years.

A lot of folks have more liquid assets now (Make a lot more money than we ever did) and can afford stuff in a way we could not. A lot of times it is not count out hard earned cash, it is just tap the card.......

5 *****

Love Aim
For me Aim is it. I work 1 street over from the show room in Monroe,OH So i'm able to take a 2 min drive at lunch or after work pick up anything I need. Also there is a nice hole in wall shop not too far from Aim in downtown Monroe that I stop in on the great occasion as well.

Have been an online customer for years now, and have had good experiences with gun, ammo, and accessory sales.
