9mm for pocket carry

I have carried a CZ Rami in a pocket holster as well as Ruger LC9s, Taurus G2S, and Taurus GX4. The Rami is a bit too heavy for pocket carry as well as a bit large. The Ruger is light and fits well in my pocket, but I hate shooting it. The hard narrow grip just doesn't fit my hand, and it hurts to shoot. The G2S is roughly the size of the Ruger but a little wider. It shoots well and fits in my pocket, but the GX4 is slightly smaller and holds 11+1 v 7+1, so that's what I carry most of the time. It's in my Nemesis pocket holster right now.

Why stand up???... or even attempt to draw while seated???
If in a restaurant, drop to one knee (the knee opposite your carry side being bent... preferably behind the table) and draw as normal. :)

As for me... Before the Shield came out, I daily pocket carried a PF-9. I've been easily Front Pocket carrying the Shield since 2012.

Oh I'm sure you have some sure fired way to draw when in a car too with a pocket gun sitting too unless your handguns removed ahead of time !! Your way to draw by dropping to a knee when sitting in a chair would not cause you to be noticed quicker than drawing from somewhere on your waist , appendix or 3:30 forward canh be done with no odd body movement , same for in a vehicle . But each to there own as to how they want to CC'n, right.

For a lady's that have a need for a dress or skirt a good carry option might be a small 10 - 11oz pistol 380 or 9mm in a garter belt holster like with a ruger max or TCP 380 and are carried that way with my wife and daughters at times

I'll stay with a 3:00 iwb carry .

Pocket carry is an option that I would use on occasion in church, depending upon how I am dressed. With smaller guns I usually carry IWB but try to have holsters to accommodate a couple of different carry styles. That’s why I like Hidden Hybrid holsters.

I have a Kimber Micro 9 and a S&W CSX. I’d feel comfortable with either…the Micro 9 is marginally smaller as in narrower…and the CSX feels better in the hand.

One needs deep pockets for a Glock 43.
If shallower pockets the Sig 365 or a Beretta Nano.

I looked at several, including the Glock, Ruger and Mossberg minis. Thought about the Kahr, but I have a DAO SCCY, and not a fan of DAO for quick response. Settled on the 365XL, with a safety. It's a great shooter, and a keeper.
I occasionally carry a SCCY CPX-1, and I really like it. I am not sure the CPX-1 model is still made, but it is without a doubt the safest pistol ever made. Pure DAO, pocketable, has a thumb safety which disconnects the trigger you can use or not as you choose, and it is completely drop-proof. It has a long and heavy trigger pull but you get over that quickly with a little practice. And mine is 100% reliable. It is probably the lowest priced 9mm pistol on the market. I think a .380 version is also available. Newer versions do not have the thumb safety and they come with a red dot sight. Not a target gun but fully adequate for close range PD use out to 10-15 yards. There are some aftermarket add-on improvements available that I have not tried but might be worthwhile. Hi-cap mags (15 and 32 rounds) are available. The standard mag is 10 rounds, double column, which is enough for me. I can hardly imagine using a 32 round mag in such a small pistol.
