Vintage patches

The box in a reversed photo looks like it is from V.A. Blackington & Co Inc in Attleboro Falls, Mass you might be able to find out who they made it for. I might be wrong on the name but I’ll have to find the medals tomorrow.

There are patches on ebay for every year around the patch you have for CT state pistol championship, but not 1964!

Was curious as to what it was. I see all states around had them. It was a State shooting event?

The red patch and this blue one were worn on Smith & Wesson employees suit coats when they were at shows, meeting with customers or at Shot Shows. They were sewn on the the coats which were provided by the factory. They are extremely rare. They are made of gold wire and heavy cloth. I paid $200.00 for Milton Walsh's patch. He was a sales rep for Smith & Wessons Law Enforcement line.

Those are some great patches Don and thanks so much for sharing.
I’m hoping someday to come across one of the 44 mag bison head patches.
They’re almost like looking for chicken lips.
Best regards,
Jake

Exactly how rare are the model 41 patches? I'd like to try and find one for my oldest niece who shoots her husband's grandfathers 41 weekly at their gun club.

Got this one a couple years back, well worn I might add. 1956 was my birth year so I couldn't turn it down...

I liked my patch so well, I had it framed like a shadow box.

Back when I was picking up some vintage S&W patches, I looked and looked for a 1956 .44 Magnum Buffalo Head Patch. I have NEVER seen one for sale! I can’t remember the story of how they came about anymore. I am very surprised that nobody (like the Sparta Box guy) has made a modern one like you see done on a lot of other patches.

Here is a model 66 that was awarded in 1980. It has non factory engraving.

Next is a model 686 that was awarded in 1982

If anyone can straighten or enlarge these for better viewing, I welcome your help.

From 1966 through 1985 Smith & Wesson sponsored the police pistol match for the Captain Weber Days in Stockton, California.

Wow! I remember the Capt Weber Days. 3 days of PPC with every relay filled, every day. Man those were the days! I probably have a few dust collectors from Stockton.

Dave,

I remember Dallas Faulkner very well. He was the Rangemaster for years and I was still calling on him after I retired and went to work for S&W.
