Silencerco suppressors

Purchased a Tactical Solutions AXIOM Titantium probably 10 years ago and loved it...when I bought a second .22 Suppressor I almost bought another but the Switchback caught my eye and decided to buy one of those instead... Have shot side by side with the AXIOM and zero difference in sound...

Both take apart and clean basically the same...

Only thing I like more about the AXIOM is the smooth clean looks...on a TS or Ruger pistol it looks like part of the gun...

There is an excellent video on the Switchback on YouTube that I can't find... A poster shot several different rounds in each of the three lengths over a sound meter and had it all recorded...was an excellent video but in just looking could not find it...it sold me and is why I went the Switchback...

I said don't overwhelm yourself, not be ignorant. I have friends that waited literally years before they bought a can, then complained afterwards that they didn't buy one sooner.

Yeah, I'm gonna disagree with that.

As already mentioned, the entire function of a can is to reduce noise. So why not look at the ones rated to reduce the most dB?

Second thing to look at it is ease of cleaning, IMO. Some cans are sealed, most are not.

Last thing is the price, at least for me.

>>Moral of the story, don't get overwhelmed in all the information overload. Just buy one and get on with it.<<

Spur of the moment purchases rarely work out well, especially in firearms related items. Your writing implies don't do your homework, don't compare items & brands and simply pick one at random. All terrible ideas.

Another Mask HD fan here... have two and they are excellent.

For a .22, I'd stick with a can made for rimfire. Most of them are able to be disassembled for cleaning, and .22s are DIRTY. Many centerfire (5.56) cans cannot be disassembled, and are going to be far more bulky and heavy. You don't want all that **** building up in a can you can't take apart to clean.

Speaking of cleaning, I try to clean my Masks at ~500 rounds. Here's what they look like at that point.

After a soak in CLP and a light scrubbing...

I recently bought the Sparrow for use on my 10/22 Varmint and Ruger Mk IV. I actually haven't shot it yet but tried a buddy's Sparrow on both guns a few months ago. I was pleased but I'm very inexperienced with silencers and have nothing to compare my experience with, except info in threads such as this. Some good intel here, I learned a thing or two.

The Switchback is rated for 5.7 by the way, full auto and all, if you need it

I bought a Spectre II suppressor about 6 years ago for my 4" Ruger .22/45 and my 10/22 Camo take-down .22 rifle. LOTS of fun and very quiet, especially on the rifle and it was under $250.
