I hit the grip jackpot!

Thanks so much! I was a bit nervous at first but once I got everything in hand I knew I made the right choice by bidding them so high.
You basically paid for (and got a good deal) on the red box and pre war N frame grips and EVERYTHING else was free.
Thanks for sharing and Congrats!

Your PM box is probably over flowing right now. 😂 that is quite the collection of very cool S&W “stuff”. congratulations.
Thank you! I’ve had a few, but I honestly can’t decide what to keep and what to part with. I’ve bought several boxes in the quest to find a gun, but I’ve yet to buy a grip to find a gun! Sounds like a neat challenge.

I don’t care to say I paid $1800 after tax and premium. The lot also came with 6 sets of Herrett style grips, a set of SAA gen 2 eagle motif grips, Colt Scout/Frontier grips, Colt original 1911 grips, a RB set of K combats I gave to a buddy locally, and two Colt New Frontier barrels. Oh and three newer blue cardboard boxes and a 4” presentation box (foam deteriorated) but great shape otherwise)
Wow, you definitely got a fantastic deal! Were the boxes in the background of your picture part of the haul? What auction was this?

I have kept track of the red outdoorsman boxes over the last few years. Here is what they sold for:

- 6-26-20 Red box on ebay $700
- Someone paid $1071 for an empty red box in fair condition with the cleaning tools and the original hex screwdriver and manual. ebay 8-14-2020
- Another ebay sale 8-23-20 at $750
- Ebay sale, 7-15-22 $620

That’s just some of my collection. The lot came with the red pre war k22 box, the 1926 44 gold box, a 4” presentation box, and the 3 blue boxes in the foreground. It was a local Ohio auction!

I’m going to be listing the Colt items in the PX shortly if anyone is interested. They are the easiest to let go of 😂

The photos from the auction weren’t great, I was ecstatic when I got all of them. The magnas are 99% plus. I forgot to mention I also got two sets of gen 2 python grips and a set of gen 1 diamondback grips, but who cares about those silly Colts!
uuhhmm…I do. 😬 I care ChiefSillyHorse. First, lemme congratulate you on your winning bid! I know that when the pic quality is low, and the $ is high, it tends to make the “pucker factor” go WAY outta my comfort zone! But HEY! Good on ya! I know you just got your treasures, but have you thought of a price for the Colt grips? Including the 1911’s. For that matter, any Colt grips that came?

I posted all the Colt stuff for sale in the PX earlier today. Buy in bulk and save or feel free to make an offer on the for sale listing!

I have a Colt Scout Buntline with the hideous "Staglite" grips on it. If and when you get rid of those Scout/Frontier grips please let me know. I bought 3 sets of grips for it at an online auction but none of them were actually for my gun so I sold them off.
