request for (rough) valuation of a pre-29

Hi all -

Been awhile since I posted here; I hope this is still the right forum for questions like this.

I'm going to start cleaning out the safe. One item to go is my dear old pre-29. It's in excellent condition, and wears nice Cokes. It's blued and has what appears to be a 6.5" barrel. I've owned it for about 20 years, and fired it less than 100 times. Can't speak to its history before that. No box or tools or anything; just the gun. Anyone want to hazard an estimate on a fair price for it?

The cokes are worth $500+. The gun has some honest wear on it. I’m going to say it’s a $1750 package knowing the cokes will be quickly separated and the gun probably resold. Just my $.02

I have one like it, in comparable condition. It would take at least $2k to buy it. probably more.

TBH, the gun has a heavy turn line and holster wear (looks like) on the side of barrel at front. Nevertheless, that should be a $2500 gun as-is. BUT, the market is soft right now, and you'd be lucky to get $2000 for it. I'd hold on to it to get that last $2500....give it a year!

Have to agree w/previous posters on prices(generaly) and the statement that the cokes will probably be seperated from the pistol and sold seperately....if you want/need to sell riki-tik to get max cash you may do that yourself, or hang on a bit &wait for market to improve. I would be interested in grips. If were me.....I'd hold on and sell later
