Metalman’s number 5 is a winner from a personal point of view. When I was much younger I accidentally took the dog’s heartworm pill, instead of my multi-vitamin, which looked similar. My wife was upset and asked what I planned to do. I told her nothing - the dog and I weighed the same, about 180 pounds, so it shouldn’t hurt me. She was furious with me and said she was calling the vet to ask what “we” should do. He said, well, your husband and the dog both weigh about the same so it shouldn’t hurt him any - and laughed. Needless to say, then BOTH the vet and I were in trouble.
The next time I saw the vet he told me that kind of malfunction was not uncommon. He’d gotten more than one call like that.
"You know they didn't get up there by themselves, they don't belong up there, they don't know what to do while they're up there, and you just wonder what kind of dummy put them up there to begin with."
London Plaques To People Who Never Existed Another plaque with Python links concerns the noted time traveller Jacob von Hogflume. Memorials to the man started appearing in 2012, supposedly placed by Python fans irked at English Heritage's refusal to recognise Graham Chapman with an official Blue Plaque (a connection we haven't been able to verify). The first (now vanished) was placed in Golden Square, Soho but he's now commemorated in numerous locations, including the Netherlands and the USA.
