I picked this up today. It would normally be a gun I would pass by, because I’m more into revolvers, but an outstanding series of threads by member 18DAI educated me to exactly how cool these are. I had to run back and grab it. No box but that’s OK with me.

18DAI was certainly the "go to guy" on all things 3rd gen.
Just wondering what you paid for yours in today's market, care to share?
Paid $550~ for mine in 99% condition with all the goodies you see a few years back.

That’s the two-lasered line model with S&W’s proprietary adjustable target sight. It’ll make a solid range gun for target shooting.

The carry models had the fixed rear Novak sights, either 3 white dot or Trijicons. These were the duty-use and EDC 4506s.

My gun is from the “last of the last” run of three lasered line 4506s (no dash anything) in the early 2000s. Ex-LE gun out of Missouri. Great shooter.
