I am left handed and do not use a holster. I live in Texas and can legally carry concealed or open, so do not worry about a bulge (actually the girls like it).
Agree that I won't win any fast draw contests. Try to have enough situational awareness that one or two seconds to get the gun on target will not be a problem. I can draw and fire in less than two seconds without rushing.
