SO, here's a couple photos. Essentially new in box. May have had up to 25 shells put through it some years ago.
In the box ever since.

Since the box says 1980, I presume it to be correct. Serial # 67K837_

Value ?

Thank you.

Interesting piece. The engraving may or may not appeal to a buyer, probably not. No idea who or what Law Enforcement Supply was. To me it's just nice used 66-1. I'd snap it up at $600, think about it at $700, and pass at $800.

Really nice 4" 66-1's bring around $800 or so in my area. Those commemorative types don't typically fetch any more than normal ones, in some cases they even detract in value. With the nice presentation case, add another $100 or so.

That's not a commemorative. It was an award given to dealers who did $1,000,000 in sales.

I've never seen one sell, but I suspect it would bring $1K to the right buyer. One million in 1980 is almost four million today. They moved a lot of S&W's!

Pretty much a No Go for me. Rather have a Plain Jane.
I going Low, less than a plain one.
Saw John in person.
Was standing about 6 feet from him.
He started into a story about renewing his Kentucky Embalming License.
I swear it seemed like he was looking directly at me!

Gentlemen,

Many thanks for the replies. These were very helpful.

My very best regards to everyone.

I remember Law Enforcement Equipment Company and did business with them back in the late 80s. My recollection is that they were well stocked and decently priced. Still have the Model 36 I bought from them. That’s a nice 66-1. It would be worth snatching up if the price was right.
