I love K frame Smiths, and this old 18-3 I inherited from my late father is one of my favorite handguns! It shoots very well, has a fantastic trigger, and looks good. Other than a turn ring and a tiny spot near the muzzle that I touched up, bluing is otherwise perfect.

About 12-13 years ago, I replaced the original stocks with these nice looking Ahrends cocobolo boot style stocks.

The blade on the original rear sight was messed up, so I replaced the whole assembly with a Bowen "Rough Country" rear sight, and I love it!

My serial number is 5K59XXX. I've looked online to see if I can find the mfg date from that but no joy. Anyone know when it was made?

Thank you Jack! Good to know. That gives me more insight into where we were living and what my dad was doing at the time he bought it! That's valuable information for me, and I much appreciate it sir!
