It's finally back to a Model 27 !!

Picked this model 27-2 a few years back and the original owner had a .. Highway Patrolman barrel on it ? So after watching websites for a while I secured a 4 inch model 27 barrel, sent it out to Frank Glenn and he swapped out the barrels for me (about a 2 week process) and its back with the correct barrel now, its the little things in life I guess.

No complaints Tom, his cost is not bad it's the shipping that hurts ! Now, what to do with the mod 28 barrel??

That’s great. Goes back together and becomes whole again.
The model 28 barrel?
Maybe look around and find a model 28 with a damaged barrel?? Keep looking around. There are enough out there, but I’m sure one will show up.
Or if you are not interested in that… I will look for one and I’ll take that barrel from you!!!

Joe, it's really nice you were able to find such a nice barrel for the gun. It looks great!

Was your 27-2 originally a 4" barrel?

I'm going to PM you about the cost of the barrel and the labor. I don't have any projects in mind but I don't have anybody in my area to do such work if it does come up.

Don't know what size barrel was on it, original owner did the swap for reason I was not able to find out. I actually had a "gunsmith" up in Vermont by my place who must have let his younger apprentice do a barrel change for me on a model 10 and didn't remove the pin, screwed up the threads (another member here straightened it out for me) so I wont be using him again!

It's finally back to a Model 27 !!
