Just ordered 100 rounds from Steinel Ammo, not cheap but getting mainly for the brass. Also ordered a Shell plate kit for my 550 Dillons so I can start reloading. Already reload for the 45acp and 45 Colt and have all the die sets and power sets for the Dillions. Will be ordering 100 rounds of brass from Midway. Will work great in my new Ruger Redhawk .45acp/.45 Colt. 200 rounds of AR brass will be enough as I can still use moon clips.

Here in the bunker someplace I have a couple of HKS loaders here for the 45 Auto,, Rimmed.
When I shot USPSA revolver with my 625 JM there was nothing faster than full moon clips into or out of the gun, This is with ball ammo. The cylinder was almost like a vaccum.

When I shoot targets leisurely with my 625-8 PC I load with ordinary rimless rounds and after firing, I simply flick the extractor rod briskly 2 or 3 times and then complete the extraction process with my fingernail.
Easy as pie.
When I carry in the field, It's with Ranch Brand moon clips both in the revolver and for reloads.

My first 25-2 came as a factory shortened and nickel gun - while full moon clips weren't out yet I siver soldered two half moon clips togetether and later had a machine shot make some one piece ones.
Then I chamfered the chamber mouths of my 25-2 and I could drop a moon clip loaded with ball into the gun from a height of 4".
No doubt the .45 with moon clips is about the fastest reload for a revolver (the smaller calibers are harder to hit but just by a little). That said it is not faster than a second gun ("New York Reload") and that "reload" doesn't take the gun out of action.

Well, this is a nice surprise!
Decided to load some 45AR for my next range session. Hadn't loaded any for ages so was fossicking around trying to find the shellholder (Lee #13). I knew I had a box of fired brass, which I found, but I wasn't expecting this.
I haven't the faintest idea where it came from, but between it and the fired brass I have about 100

Thanks for the link. I think I am going to order some for my 1917. I know I'll have to trim the inside radius a little for them to fit.
