I have a box of Remington in the Green and Yellow box to they made it as late as the 70s or at least 60s'Didn’t Remington Peters produce .45 Auto Rim? I don’t remember not being able to find it, but maybe that was forty years ago.

I guess so. Every situation is not self defense-related. Some like to shoot targets leisurely.
My first 25-2 came as a factory shortened and nickel gun - while full moon clips weren't out yet I siver soldered two half moon clips togetether and later had a machine shot make some one piece ones. When I shot USPSA revolver with my 625 JM there was nothing faster than full moon clips into or out of the gun, This is with ball ammo. The cylinder was almost like a vaccum.

PS. And I have medium dexterity....no Jerry M. speed for me.
Thanks for the link. I think I am going to order some for my 1917. I know I'll have to trim the inside radius a little for them to fit.As I recall 45AR brass goes in and out of production so get enough when you can. Also helps to keep your revolver and semi ammo separate.
I also use RIMZ polymer moon clips in my 625. Easy to load and unload and pretty durable
