I have a 1980 S&W model 1500 mountaineer rifle in 7 mm magnum. Back at least 20 years ago I lost the front sight hood. I have never, ever been able to find a replacement for this. No safe queen, I hunt with it every year I get a tag for from antelope through elk. Besides the well earned dings and scratches it is still a tack driver. Would like to locate this part more for sentimental purposes so when it eventually goes into the family trust it is complete like the day I bought it in December of 1981.
