Do You Pocket Carry Your J Frame Daily?

Hey all,

I am curious about those of you that choose to carry a J frame as your primary firearm for protection. Do you carry it a pants or shorts pocket or do you have an IWB or OWB holster that you use for it?

I had told myself a while ago that my next pistol was going to be a J Frame or something that I could carry in a pocket comfortably. I feel like having that capability greatly increases the chances that I'll carry every day. I have also looked at those "STICKY" holsters, which seem to work very well for what they are intended for. Do any of you use this, or a similar brand and model, to carry your J frame or small auto?

Your thoughts please.

Thank you for your time.
Larry
I pocket carry my mod 60 in my front right pocket

I rotate, depending on the weather (light-weight or heavier clothing) and situation...P-365 (.380) or a P-238 or a S&W 632UC. Carry each of them in Alabama pocket holsters.

I have been carrying a model 38 in a uncle mike's #3 in my right front pocket for years. In today's world it is best to be prepared for the unexpected. On a side note , I hope that I never have to use it. GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.

I carried my 637 in a leather pocket holster until I notice corrosion on the trigger guard. I bought it because I thought it would resist sweat, but apparently not.
Stainless does not mean rustproof.

Back in the 1970s we had lots of cops who thought the stainless steel revolver did not require care like the blue ones.

DeSantis Nemesis is my pocket holster of choice. Used it for my J Frames for many many years and now use one for my Sig P365 often when not using my Kramer OWB Belt Scabbard Horsehide rig.

The DeSantis pocket holster is extremely light weight, sweat proof, comfortable, covers the trigger guard 100%, remains in your pocket when Roscoe is pulled and is very inexpensive! I have never found a better pocket holster!
Other than in the shower, I pocket carry my 642 24/7

My answer is about the same as my first answer a few years ago. The 442, bobbed 37, and 638 are lightweights and one of them is always in my pocket. The 3” 36 or the Stainless 60 are waistband guns. Often I carry 2 J’s. Depending where I go, I’ll only carry one J and add a high cap Nine in the waist.

My daily carry j frame is and has been a model 640 since 2016 or so. I mostly pocket carry it in a Mika holster. I do occasionally carry the 640 on my waist in a Simply Rugged pancake, but I think it defeats the purpose of a j frame.

If I need to carry something more. I use my 1st generation Shield in .40 s&w. My backup in either case is another j frame, a 642.

M49 in a pocket holster 2-3X/week at the gym, or on limited duration walkabouts when wearing shorts.

It seems much of the "fast draw" comments are based on obsessive Internet esoterica rather than a real need for fast draw. This is not the made-up old west of TV and movies. I'm not trying to convert the compulsive and the concealed carrier hobbyists; that's a wasted effort. Who can truly say these folks are as prepared as a purely rational person who doesn't live eat, and breathe potential (dreamed of) gunfighting?
