I was gifted a S&W 625-7 Performance Center 5 inch in 45 acp that is lightly engraved. I do not know if it is a factory engrave or after market but is very nice! My question is, what would have been the original grips on it? Have a set of rubbers that would be good for shooting but I prefer to have it look original with the proper grips. Gun came with the hard aluminum case but no paperwork or anything other than the full moon clips Serial # is JMRO 1xxIMG_1806.JPGIMG_1808.JPGIMG_1809.JPGIMG_1810.JPGIMG_1811.JPGIMG_1812.JPG

I didnt know that existed. I thought the only 625-7 was a .45 Colt Mountain Gun. That's probably very enjoyable to shoot in .45 ACP.

Wow, that’s nice, and nice of your friend. He must have thought a lot of you.

I have a bunch of 45 ACPs. The most accurate of them all is my 625-4. Those are great guns.

It would have not been engraved from factory, they were a small Jerry miculek run similiar to to the 627-3 v comp but they don’t pop up often. Last one I seen was 1500 and I didn’t snag it.

I have one of those in 45acp that was pretty pristine when I acquired it. It came with Ahrends round butt combat grips. IIRC my research was that mine was all correct except a prior owner had put on a FO front sight. I got rid of that and put on an SDM gold bead. Gold bead I believe was correct for this gun. My # is JMR00XX. I put on the D&L Sports rear sight. The grips in the photos are not the grips that came on the gun but similar.IMG_0781.jpeg
